On the 15th November 1989, a teenager from Mumbai, walked in an International Test Match against Pakistan at Karachi. This debutant was a mere 16 year old kid by then. He was so called Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. But, it wasn’t a hand of luck for the God of Cricket to get to this debut match at this age. The most notorious knocks of his childhood was in an Inter-School Harris Shield Match against St. Xavier’s at the Azad Maidan, Mumbai.
At the age of 15, Sachin scored 326 (not out) & was involved in an unbeaten 664 runs partnership with Vinod Kambli (349 not out). Since then, this was a record partnership in any form of cricket until 2006-07 which was broken by under-13 kids at Hyderabad scoring 721.
